Career & Financial Leadership
Michael brings more than 35 years of financial leadership experience to his role as President and CFO, with a background spanning high-growth companies, private equity-backed firms, and large public and private businesses.
Prior to joining Ahola, Michael led the successful turnaround of a manufacturing and distribution business. He also served as CFO of Explorys, a Cleveland-based healthcare data analytics company, where the company quadrupled its revenues during his tenure. His work in private equity, including time at Fidelity Investments in their private equity group, built a broad base of expertise in accounting, financial modeling, capital-raising, mergers and acquisitions, working capital management, and financial strategy.
Education & Professional Recognition
Michael holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from Indiana University Bloomington and an MBA with a concentration in Accounting from the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago. He is a licensed CPA and a longtime member of the Ohio Society of CPAs. In 2022, he was recognized in Crain's Cleveland Business List of Notables in Finance.
